The Cyclones (2-6) fell behind early for the second straight game, allowing three second inning runs, and were unable to overcome their struggles at the plate in dropping their fourth straight game.
Freshman Courtney Wray had a pair of hits for the Cyclones, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Wray's fellow freshmen Kelsey Kidwell and Alex Johnson had the other hits for the Cyclones.
Alyssa Ransom (1-4) got the loss for ISU, allowing four runs on eight hits in just over four innings of work. Ransom, who struck out three, was relieved by Amie Ford, who allowed three runs on as many hits, while also striking out three.
The Rebels (2-6) opened the scoring early, plating three runs in the second inning. Callahan had a two-run single and Alyssa McGovern singled to score the other run in the big inning.
Willitt (2-0), who struck out seven in the game, stymied the Cyclones through the first four innings, holding them hitless and allowing just one baserunner. The Ole Miss hurler allowed just four hits to the Cyclones in the complete game win.
The Cyclones got a pair of singles from Wray and Kidwell in the fifth, but were unable to move them around. Kidwell's single to left field was the first hit of her career.
After thwarting the Cyclones in the top half of the inning, Ole Miss lit up the scoreboard again with a solo homer by Grill to make it 4-0 in favor of the Rebels. The Cyclones were able to avoid more trouble, getting out of the inning after Ole Miss put runners on second and third with just one out.
The Rebels weren't finished as Rowe and Callahan got Ole Miss on the board again in the bottom of the sixth. Rowe ripped a solo shot and Callahan drove in her third and fourth runs of the game with the Rebels' third homer of the game, pushing the Ole Miss lead to 7-0.
