IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 announced its 2026 All-Conference Honors on Wednesday afternoon, with a quartet of Cyclones earning recognition. The four individual honorees are tied for the most in a single season in school history, and it is the second straight year ISU has seen four players recognized.
Tatum Johnson was named to the All-Big 12 First Team, Reagan Bartholomew and Karlee Ford were named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, and Sydney Malott was named to the All-Defensive Team. Both Johnson and Ford received honors for the second consecutive season.
A year after making All-Big 12 Second Team, Tatum earned First Team honors in her senior season. On the season, Johnson was second on the team in runs (53), hits (69), doubles (18) and home runs (12) while leading the team in both triples (2) and RBI (51). In conference play, Johnson slashed .385/.462/.795 on 30 hits – with 18 of them going for extra bases. It is the second consecutive season that ISU has had a First Team All-Big 12 member, as Johnson joins teammate Jessie Clemons, who did so in 2025.
Malott became the first Cyclone to make the All-Defensive Team since 2015 – an honor that the league brought back in 2025. ISU was one of six schools to place an athlete on the All-squad, as Malott slots in as the team's first baseman. Malott held the highest fielding percentage of any Cyclone (min. 100 chances) with a .997, committing just one error in 390 chances on the year. ISU led the conference in fielding percentage at .975, which finished as the best fielding percentage in a single season in program history.
Bartholomew picked up her first Big 12 honor in her final season with the Cyclones, as she bounced back from a 2025 injury and had one of the best single seasons in program history. Bartholomew would go on to lead the team in runs (55), hits (71), home runs (15), walks (32), as well as batting average (.415), on-base percentage (.502) and slugging percentage (.784). She was just the ninth Cyclone ever to eclipse 70 hits in a season, and her 32 walks are the most in a single season in school history.
Earning Big 12 postseason honors for the second-straight year, Ford joined Bartholomew on the Second Team. A year after being named to the All-Freshman Team, Ford expanded her role into a full-time starter as a sophomore. Ford's 59 hits were fourth on the team, and her 49 RBI were second. In Big 12 play, she batted .333, and 12 of her 23 hits went for extra bases. She was sure-handed behind the plate, fielding the ball at a .983 clip and committing just three errors on the year.
The Cyclones wrapped their 2026 campaign on Sunday, earning 30-plus wins for the second straight year for the first time since the 1988-1989 seasons. ISU's nine conference wins were also the second-most in a single season in program history.
