Twenty-Eight Items Now Up For Auction

AMES, Iowa - Fans can now bid on game-worn items from the Cyclones' "Throwback Game" with Iowa on Sept. 15. As a tribute to ISU's Peach Bowl team of 1977, the Cyclones will wear replica jerseys from that bowl game and 75 full throwback uniform packages (helmets, jerseys and pants) worn by the Cyclones against the Hawkeyes this year will be available to the highest bidders in four separate one-week long auctions between Aug. 20 and Sept. 14.

Bidding on the uniform packages will start at $350. Names will not be on the jerseys. Additionally, 20 throwback helmets signed by ISU head coach Gene Chizik will be up for auction. Five helmets will be auctioned off each week. Bidding on the signed helmets will start at $200.

In addition, the athletics department is auctioning off four other items this week. These items include gameday experiences for the Kent State game on Aug. 30, a chance to retrieve the tee, as well as an opportunity to run out on to the field with the team. Also up for bid is a billboard print, framed of the "It's a Cyclone State," which was displayed in Cedar Rapids during the summer of 2006.

The final auction item is a large wooden sign of the early 90s Cyclone football helmet. The sign is 65" tall by 73" wide. Click here to view this week's auction items.
