Iowa State travels to Colorado this weekend. In order to give Cyclone fans an inside look at the Iowa State football team, senior wide receiver Euseph Messiah will be posting a weekly blog at cyclones.com on Friday of each week throughout the football season.
Messiah has a clean slate to talk all things related to his life, academics, Cyclone football and other daily hurdles of being a Division I student-athlete.
Week 11
Hey Cyclone fans, Euseph here! Welcome to the 11th edition of my weekly blog this year. This week we take on Colorado and we've been preparing all week for a tough game in the high altitudes of Folsom Field. After watching them on tape all week, they've done nothing but impress us. I can't wait to get down there to play because it's going to be very exciting!

We're looking for a big win this week as fly down to Colorado. We've been preparing our strong gameplan since Monday and we feel that this could be the weekend that we end our road losing streak.
Remember last year when they came to Jack Trice Stadium late in the season, and we came back to win from a 21-point deficit? I'll never forget when we came into our locker room down three touchdowns and the coaching staff was doing nothing but motivate us to play harder.
It was surprising because I'm sure that a lot of our fans probably thought that our coaching staff just came in yelling and screaming, but that wasn't the case. They simply said, “...we're not going to change anything. You guys know that you can play better. Our gameplan is there, we know what they're doing. So go out there, have fun and let's come back in here with a win.”
And that's all it took because before they knew it, we had scored 31 unanswered points and eventually won the game. That'll be a memory I'll never forget.
Other than that Cyclone fans, if you can't make it out to Folsom Field in Colorado on Saturday morning, I hope that most of you will tune in to watch us play on TV. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. central time and it should be very exciting. Wherever you are, remember to cheer loud and until next time, Go Cyclones!
