CYber CYd with Jacquelyn Holmes
Hello all you Cyclone fans! It's now my favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving has passed and it's time for Christmas! All the girls were able to spend time with their families and get plenty of much-needed rest. I went back to Charlotte, North Carolina, where the sun was shining every day and it was 65 degrees all day long. But I am definitely so happy to be back at school to finish up the semester and get ready for the season.
The team as a whole is looking very good. We are all now trying to just clean up the little things. I do have to compliment all my teammates on just how proud I am of everybody. Each practice I see improvement everywhere, big or small. Routines for everyone right now are looking like a piece of cake and landings on all the events are becoming more sticks too! The season is almost here, and I can't wait to show everyone all the great gymnastics we can do!
Outside of the gym has been crazy too. The semester is ending and the school work is just piling up on us. We are all trying to stay focused on our work, hand in those last couple of papers and tests, and get ready for exams in the next two weeks.
Christmas is definitely one of the favorite holidays for the team and every year we pick up secret Santa gifts for one of the girls on the team. We usually just give three little gifts during the week with clues of who we are and then at our team Christmas party, we reveal who has who and give our big gift. It's so fun because all of us love receiving presents!
Happy Holidays Everyone and Go Cyclones!
