OMAHA, Neb.—The Iowa State soccer team and North Dakota State battled to a scoreless tie Sunday afternoon in Morrison Stadium.
The Cyclones continued an impressive defensive start to their 2010 campaign with their fourth shutout, and kept the goals allowed this season at two. Freshman goalkeeper Maddie Jobe played the full 110 minutes of the contest and made seven saves. Jobe's season mark is 4-0-1.
Brittany Morgan came off the Iowa State (4-0-2) bench and led the team with three shots with one being on goal. Erin Green and Emily Goldstein were close behind with two shots apiece.
North Dakota State (2-0-1) held a 15-9 shots advantage, while the Cyclones had eight corner kicks to the Bisons' seven.
Iowa State continues its lengthy road trip when the Cyclones travel to Chicago for a 7 p.m. match with Loyola-Chicago Friday.
