McKellar Shares Weekly Big 12 Gymnastics Honor

IRVING, Texas?Iowa State senior gymnast Jody McKellar was named Big 12 co-Event Specialist of the Week after scoring 9.900 on bars against Missouri Jan. 21 in the Cyclones' victory over the Tigers.
McKellar's 9.900 was the top score on bars this season by any Big 12 gymnast and is the Cyclones' highest individual score on any event in 2011.
McKellar shared the honor with Nebraska's Erin Davis who tallied 9.925 on vault.
McKellar is the third Cyclone this season to earn a weekly Big 12 honor. Michelle Browning (Gymnast of the Week) and Michelle Shealy (Newcomer of the Week) earned their honors Jan. 11.
