Meghan Cassens won over Kansas State's Petra Chuda 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 this afternoon. All three athletes have one match standing between them and a first-place title.
Caroline Andersen, an Iowa State freshman who fell to Missouri's Tina Radan today, will face UMKC's Jessica Ball to fight for third place.
The Cyclones made a few changes to their doubles lineups, with the duo of Andersen and Chartier defeated Eva Dalvai and Laura Bouet of UMKC 8-6. The team was overtaken by Olga Fisher and Rocio Diaz from Missouri 8-3.
Maria Macedo had her first round of consolation play at the ITA Regionals, but the senior could not advance after the first match. She fell 6-4, 6-4 to Tulsa's Michelle Farley, ending her stint at the national tournament.
The Kansas Invitational will wrap up tomorrow with championship matches in both singles and doubles.
