Poppens Earns All-Tournament Team Honors

RENO, Nev. - Iowa State junior forward Chelsea Poppens has been named to the Nugget Classic All-Tournament team after averaging 17.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in two games.
The Aplington, Iowa native shot over 61 percent from the field, including 10-for-13 in a win over Butler. Poppens equaled a career-high with 23 points and tracked down 12 rebounds against the Bulldogs.
Against Penn State, Poppens finished with 11 points and 17 rebounds. It marked the fifth game of her career with at least 15 rebounds.
