Shealy Tabbed Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

IRVING, Texas?Iowa State freshman gymnast Michelle Shealy was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week Tuesday the league offices announced. The honor is the second of her career.
Shealy earned the honor after tying for the all-around title with a score of 39.100 in Iowa State's four-team competition against No. 16 Southern Utah, BYU and Utah State Saturday in Provo, Utah. Shealy posted career-high scores on bars (9.825) and floor (9.850) at the meet.
The Snellville, Ga., native also earned the newcomer of the week honor on Jan. 11 after the Cyclones' first meet of the season.
