Gymnasts Continue Busy Fall Saturday With Free Event

AMES, Iowa - Saturday marks the annual National Gymnastics Day, and the Iowa State gymnastics team has a special free event planned Saturday in the team's practice gym in Beyer Hall from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
The event is open to the public and will include an autograph session from the Iowa State gymnastics team as well as face painting. At noon, fans will be able to witness an attempt to break the world record for most hand stands done at one time as well.
This Saturday's National Gymnastics Day celebration is far from the first event the Cyclone gymnasts have appeared in this fall. The events include the Iowa State Fan Fest as well as gymnasts dressing in all blue suits in a parade in Nevada, Iowa.
