Ronayne Goes "Over the Edge"

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State head gymnastics coach Jay Ronayne participated as a celebrity in the fundraising event "Over the Edge" for the Special Olympics this past Tuesday. Ronayne's participation was far more than giving a speech or shaking hands, as the Cyclone coach rappelled 22 stories off the side of the Financial Center in downtown Des Moines with little more than a helmet and two cords for support.
The Cyclone coaching staff and members of the 2012 gymnastics squad joined Ronayne in Des Moines to provide support as he rappelled approximately 325 feet in a courageous feat.
