- The Cyclones take on the Drake Bulldogs on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State is 27-26 all-time against the Drake Bulldogs and 15-9 in Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones have also won 78-straight regular season non-conference games at Hilton Coliseum. The streak dates back to the 2003-04 season (Last loss: Washington (12/21/03)).
- Iowa State is fresh off its 20th-straight season-opening win against USC Upstate. The Cyclones downed the Spartans 98-76 behind a 25-point outing from freshman Bryanna Fernstrom and double-double performances from sophomore Seanna Johnson and senior Brynn Williamson.
- After her 25-point performance, Fernstrom was awarded the season's first Big 12 Freshman of the Week award.
- The 2014-15 season marks the 20th in the tenure of Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 417-192 record at Iowa State and a 583-245 record in his 27-year career as a head coach. His 583 career wins lists him as 17th in the NCAA among active coaches.
- Iowa State returns four starters from its 2013-14 NCAA Tournament team with senior point guard Nikki Moody, Williamson, and sophomore guards Johnson and Jadda Buckley. Moody is a three-time All-Big 12 honoree, while Buckley and Johnson were each named to the All-Big 12 freshmen team in 2013-14.
- Iowa State welcomed Bridget Carleton, Meredith Burkhall and TeeTee Starks to the Cyclones family as all three signed National Letters of Intent to play for ISU starting in the 2015-16 season. Iowa State's recruiting class was ranked 15th in the nation by ProspectsNation.com making it the best class in program history.
- Moody enters the season second in the nation in career assists and fourth nationally in career assists per game (5.68). Moody ranks third in Iowa State history in career assists with 537, she trails the school record held by Lyndsey Medders by just 182. Moody also led the Cyclones in assists with 163 last season, becoming just the fifth Cyclone to lead ISU in assists in three-consecutive seasons.
- The Cyclones return three players who hit over 40 3-pointers last season with Williamson (66), Kidd Blaskowsky (55) and Moody (46). Iowa State finished 11th nationally in 3-pointers per game, knocking down 8.9 per contest.
- Over the last 19 seasons, no team in NCAA Division I has netted (4,753), attempted (13,317) or hit more 3-pointers per game (7.82) than the Cyclones. Over the last 19 seasons, Iowa State has also recorded the seventh-best 3-point percentage (35.7) in all of Division I. ISU's dominance from beyond the arc is unmatched and unprecedented.
- For the second-straight season Iowa State led the nation in free-throw percentage, shooting 80.4 percent from the charity stripe. Buckley ranked in the top-20 nationally in free-throw shooting, while Williamson also broke the single-season school record shooting 91.9 percent (57-62) from the line. The Cyclones led the nation in 2013-14 shooting 80.5 percent from the line. No team has ever led the nation three consecutive years.
- With the Cyclones appearance in last year's NCAA Tournament, they extended their streak to eight-straight appearances in the tournament. ISU is one of just 13 schools to make the last eight NCAA Tournaments

Scouting The Bulldogs
- Drake dropped its season opener to South Dakota in a tightly contested game. The Bulldogs fell 78-83 in a game that featured nine lead changes.
- Drake was led by, Lizzy Wendell with 25 points, and four assists while Kyndal Clark chipped in 17 points. Clark is the Bulldogs' top returner and was the 2014 Jackie Stiles MVC Player of the Year.
- Drake was picked to finish third in the 2014-15 Missouri Valley Conference's annual preseason poll.

-The 3-point shot continues to be a staple of Iowa State women's basketball in the Fennelly era, with Iowa State knocking down more 3-pointers than anyone in the nation over the course of the last 19 seasons.
- No team in the NCAA has attempted or made as many 3-pointers than Iowa State since the 1995-96 season and Iowa State's 4,753 3-pointers made and 13,317 3-pointers attempted reign supreme.
- Iowa State has also knocked down more 3-pointers per game than anyone in Division I, with 7.82 3's made per game, nearly one more three more than second-place Villanova (6.83 per game).
- Even more impressive, ISU's 4,753 3's made is 515 more than second-place UConn's 4,238. However, ISU accomplished the feat in 97 fewer game than the Huskies.
- Over the last 19 seasons, the Cyclones rank seventh in 3-point percentage, making 35.7 percent of their shots from deep.
