- The Iowa State women's basketball team (2-0, 0-0 Big 12) is set to take on the Drake on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones have defeated the Bulldogs five of the last six times and 10 of the last 12. ISU fell to Drake in last year's meeting in Des Moines, 74-70. ISU also holds a 28-27 lead in the all-time series.
- Johnson was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team for the first time in her career and currently ranks 19th in school history in points (1,187), seventh in rebounds (822) and fifth in double-doubles (28). She needs just two rebounds to pass Tracy Gahan for sixth in school history.

- Buckley is just 28 assists away from passing Megan Taylor for 10th all time in school history in career assists. She currently has 310 in her career and is the top returning point guard in the Big 12.

- The 2016-17 season marks the 22nd in the tenure of Bill Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is tied with Oklahoma as the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 449-223 record at Iowa State and a 615-276 record in his 28-year career as a head coach. His 615 career wins lists him in the top-20 in the NCAA among active coaches.
