AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team has a quick turnaround this week, with the Cyclones heading to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech on Friday. First serve between the Cycloens and Red Raiders will be at 5 p.m. inside United Supermarkets Arena.
Tickets can be purchased starting one hour prior to the match at Untied Supermarkets Arena.
Friday's match will be streamed on TexasTech.TV, a subscription-based service. For more info on TexasTech.TV, click here. Live stats will also be provided by Texas Tech, here.
Iowa State has now won three matches in a row and five of its last six after sweeping West Virginia last night inside Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State hit .322 as a team, but it was the defense that did the talking as ISU recorded 12.0 total blocks to help restrict Tech to a .106 hitting percentage. Iowa State will be looking to take its winning streak over the Red Raiders to 21 matches on Friday.
The Red Raiders are also going to be working against the quick turnaround, as they fell in four sets to Baylor last night in Lubbock. Despite its 0-11 Big 12 record, things have been trending in the right direction for TTU, who has won five sets in its last four matches. Tech has a strong backline led by libero Reyn Akiu, who is averaging 4.99 digs per set this season.
