AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State gymnastics team will host a pair of home meets this weekend at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones begin on Friday with a tri-meet against Air Force and No. 18 Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. ISU will be back in front of its home fans on Sunday for a quad meet with No. 14 Nebraska, NC State and UW-La Crosse at 2 p.m.
Tickets for both meets can be purchased now online (click
here), or on the day of the meet at the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office located at the lower southwest corner of Hilton.
Friday's meet will serve as ISU's "Think Pink" meet, supporting breast cancer awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink, with the first 250 fans receiving a free "Think Pink" t-shirt. Once again, Friday is a "Faculty & Staff Friday", with ISU Faculty and Staff members receiving free admission by showing his/her ISU ID at any entrance. Fans can also participate in the "This Tall" promotion. If fans are taller than
Sara Townsend or shorter than
Kelsey Paz, they will receive a free ticket to Sunday's meet.
Sunday's meet will serve meet as Olympic Day, with ISU assistant coaches
Kristen Maloney and
Katie Minasola hosting a meet-and-greet post-meet to talk about their experiences competing for Team USA. Post-meet will also feature a free Youth Clinic. For more information, contact Meagan Arce of the Iowa State marketing department at
