The NCAA Gymnastics Championships have a new, shorter format in 2016. The Sunday individual event competition that determined apparatus national champions are a thing of the past, as now the Friday competition will determine those national champions, similar to how the all-around national champion has been determined.
Sievers made her way to Fort Worth after tying for the vault title at the Minneapolis Regional with a 9.900. The freshman has had a tremendous season on vault, taking a career-best 9.925 score on vault which she received at Illinois. Sievers competed in the all-around for Iowa State during the season.
