Pink Named To Women's Basketball Oversight Advancement Committee

AMES, Iowa – Associate Athletics Director for Marketing Mary Pink was named to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Oversight Advancement Committee, the NCAA announced.
"This opportunity to serve is an honor and I am humbled to be asked to be a part of this committee," Pink said. "I look forward to being part of a committee that is tasked with improving women's basketball in terms of marketing, fan experience and ticket sales."
The Women's Basketball Oversight Advancement Committee is tasked with creating a strategic plan to grow the game of women's basketball in the areas of student-athlete experience, ticket pricing strategies, ticket sales, revenue generation, budget, marketing, building attendance, TV ratings, fan experience and site selection.
"The impact Mary Pink has on women's basketball goes beyond her success over the last 20 years at Iowa State as she is one of the most respected marketers in the sports industry," said Tracie Hitz, the NCAA director of women's basketball operations. "We are excited she is bringing her expertise to the Advancement Committee to develop a strategic plan to continue growing the game."
Pink will serve as a member of the committee for the next four years.
