Turning Point of the Game
Going into the second overtime, still scoreless against the Panthers, the Cyclones came out firing. In the 107th minute, Brooke Tasker was attacking down the right side of the pitch just inside the 18. The Panther goalkeeper came out to block Tasker's shot and the ball redirected to Emily Steil. Steil fired a shot that was blocked by a team save. Steil got her own rebound and buried her second attempt for the golden goal.

Coach Said It
"Coming off of the loss on Friday, we wanted to see how we would respond," head coach Tony Minatta said. "I think we started off a little slow again, but the energy picked up and we got some momentum. We started seeing the ball a little better, getting some good possession, and getting some good attacks. Credit to them. They are a very organized team. They work very hard and are very well coached. They have had some good results on the year. To come away with another road win and another shutout after a tough loss against Iowa, shows a lot of resolve and we answered the call. Positive step for us after we lost two overtime games last year. So to fight through and find that game-winning goal shows that we are growing as a team and moving forward in the positive direction."
