Gymnastics Returns to Top 25 After Two Year Absence

AMES, Iowa- After a trio of its top team scores this season in the last three meets, the Iowa State gymnastics team ranks No. 25 in this week's the Road To Nationals poll. The rankings were announced this morning, marking the first time the team has broken into the top 25 since January 2015.
The Cyclones have earned a score of 195 or better in the last three meets, with their best score coming on the road against Texas Woman's University with a 196.125. With just two more meets before the Regional Qualifying scores are calculated, Iowa State hopes to continue this trend, and carry on recording scores at 195 and above to keep its spot in the rankings.
The team's next chance to put up a score comes this weekend at No. 13 Missouri, where they will compete in a quad meet against the host school, No. 14 George Washington, and Lindenwood on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
