Cyclones Travel to Lincoln For NCAA Regional

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State gymnastics team will be traveling to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the NCAA Regional competition. The Cyclones will be one of five teams competing in the meet, including No. 2 LSU, No. 11 Boise State, No. 14 Nebraska, No. 25 Arizona, and Minnesota.
The teams will also be joined by individual competitors from the Air Force Academy. The meet will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Devaney Center at the host school, the Nebraska.
The Cyclones finished the regular season strong in order to qualify as the No. 29 team nationally for the NCAA Regional. The team recorded their highest score of the season against No. 6 Alabama on March 10 with a 196.600, the highest an Iowa State team has scored since the 2014 Big 12 Championships. ISU's last competition was March 18 in the Big 12 Championship. There they put up their ninth-consecutive score above a 195.000 with a 195.500 against some of the top teams in the nation in No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 7 Denver, and No. 22 West Virginia.
Saturday's meet will be broadcast live by the University of Nebraska, free of charge. The link to the online broadcast can be found here.
