MJ Johnson Wins Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week

Ames, Iowa – Iowa State junior Madeline Johnson has been named Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
During the San Jose State tri-meet this past weekend, Johnson earned a new career high 9.925 during her incredible bars routine. Her routine led to a first-place finish individually, and was Iowa State's highest scoring individual bars performance this year. She is the first Cyclone to score a 9.925 on bars since the 2014 season.
Iowa State will be on bye this weekend, but Johnson and the Cyclones will be back in Hilton Coliseum for a quad meet on Friday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
