AMES, Iowa – A depleted Iowa State (13-14, 4-11 Big 12) team couldn't withstand TCU's (19-9, 7-8 Big 12) hot second-half shooting, falling to the Horned Frogs, 89-83 Wednesday night in Hilton Coliseum.
TCU made 66.7 percent of its shots after intermission to overcome a deficit at the half. Desmond Bane led TCU with 27 points.
The Cyclones had just seven players available, and only six in the final five minutes after Terrence Lewis fouled out. Starters Solomon Young and Nick Weiler-Babb were ruled out with injuries earlier in the week.
Donovan Jackson led the Cyclones with 27 points, his ninth 20-point game of the season. Cameron Lard tallied 14 points and had a team-high eight rebounds. Lindell Wigginton chipped in with 14 points.
