No. 21 ISU Opens Season With Iowa State Challenge

AMES, Iowa – No. 21 Iowa State opens the 2018 volleyball season at Hilton Coliseum with the Iowa State Challenge. The complete tournament schedule, and information for fans attending matches and following from home is below.

Friday, Aug. 24
Session 1
10 a.m. – Virginia vs. Ole Miss
Session 2
4 p.m. – Oregon State vs. Virginia
6:30 p.m. – Iowa State vs. Ole Miss

Saturday, Aug. 25
Session 3
10 a.m. – Iowa State vs. Virginia
12:30 p.m. – Ole Miss vs. Oregon State
Session 4
6:30 p.m. – Iowa State vs. Oregon State

Ticket Information

Iowa State students receive free admission to all home volleyball matches with their ISU IDs.

A separate ticket is required for Sessions 2, 3 and 4, as the arena will be emptied at the conclusion of each session. Admission to the Friday morning Virginia-Ole Miss match will be free. Tickets can be purchased now on cyclones.com, here, or on the day of the match at Hilton Coliseum.

Due to renovations of the parking lots and driveways surrounding Hilton Coliseum, the ticket office will not be accessible from the traditional exterior Southwest Entrance. Fans needing to purchase tickets, pick up will call tickets or are on the home or visiting player/coach pass list, should enter at the Lower West entrance, and then follow directions to the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office. The Ticket Office will open one hour prior to the start of the first match of the session.

Parking and Entrances

Due to the renovations of the parking lots, Lot C2 is closed for this weekend's tournament. Season ticket holders can still use their parking pass to access Lots C1, C3 and D1. Fans using Lot C1 are encouraged to enter via the new entrance off of east-bound Lincoln Way. ADA parking is available in the west fire lane, and Lot B2.

The South Entrance (facing Jack Trice Stadium) is closed this weekend. Fans can enter Hilton Coliseum at the North Entrance (facing Lincoln Way), the upper West Entrance and the lower West Entrance (ADA entrance).

Clear Bag Policy

The clear bag policy will go into effect this weekend for Hilton Coliseum. For more info, click here. Season ticket holders who have not been able to pick up a complimentary clear bag can do so on the day of matches at the Marketing table at the North Entrance. Fans wishing to pick up a clear bag prior to the tournament can do so in the Iowa State Athletics Marketing offices in the Jacobson Athletics Building.

Promotions

The Saturday night match against Oregon State will be Jungle Night and National Banana Split Day. The first 100 fans will be able to make their own banana split at our split making station, while Jungle Night will feature animal-themed music and a jungle-themed photo station on the North concourse.
