Iowa State and Creighton will be meeting for the third-straight season, having split the previous two meetings. The Bluejays defeated ISU in four sets at Hilton Coliseum in 2016, but Iowa State got the win over then-No. 8 Creighton in 2017 at Wichita State. The last regular season meeting between ISU and CU in Omaha was in 2008, when current Cyclone assistant coach Jen Malcom set ISU's school record for hitting percentage in a match, getting 15 kills at a .789 hitting clip to help defeat CU in four sets.
The Cyclones and Shockers will be meeting for the 10th time, with ISU having never lost to Wichita, 8-0-1 overall. Iowa State has swept Wichita State each of the last two seasons, but both matches have featured plenty of competition, including last season's 37-35 second set at the Koch Center.
Iowa State and Nebraska renew their old Big Eight/Big 12 rivalry, with Sunday marking the 86th meeting between the two programs. ISU will be looking for its first win in the series since 2012, when ISU knocked off then-No. 1 Nebraska in four sets in Ames. The Cyclones' last win in Lincoln came in 2009 in five sets at the Huskers' previous home, the NU Coliseum.
