AMES, Iowa - For the first time in two weeks, the Iowa State volleyball team is on the road, heading to Norman to take on Oklahoma in a match which will help determine third place in the Big 12. First serve between the Cyclones and Sooners at McCasland Field House will be at 6 p.m.
The Cyclones will be looking to wrap up a 2-0 week after their win over TCU on Wednesday night. However, they will face a tough test against a stifling Oklahoma defense.

Iowa State was able to snap its two-match skid with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-12) win over TCU on Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones hit .287 as a team, while restricting the Horned Frogs to .093 hitting. ISU was led by its middle blockers, wtih Candelaria Herrera getting 10 kills at .667 hitting and Avery Rhodes recording seven blocks (one solo, six assists) in the win.
Oklahoma comes into Saturday's match at 12-5 overall and tied for third in the Big 12 with Texas Tech at 4-2. The Sooners are also 1-0 on the week after coming from two sets down to defeat Kansas State in a marathon five-setter on Wednesday night in Norman. OU showed its defensive prowess against K-State, recording 12.0 total blocks and 109 digs in the victory.
The Sooners hold opponents to .178 hitting, led by defending Big 12 Libero of the Year Keyton Kinley, who leads the conference with her 5.10 digs per set. At the net, Oklahoma averaged 2.19 blocks per set, led by middle blocker Brianna Kadiku's 1.22 blocks per set. In attack, freshman Ashlynn Dunbar leads with 3.44 kills per set, while Sarah Sanders posts 2.63 kills per set. Setter Kylee McLaughlin is one of the best in the Big 12, averaging 9.98 assists per set.
This will be the 84th all-time meeting between Iowa State and Oklahoma, with the Sooners leading the all-time series 44-39. The two teams split the season series last year, winning on each others' home floors. ISU's 3-0 win in Norman last year, led by 13 kills at .650 hitting from Eleanor Holthaus, was the fifth-straight win for the Cyclones at McCasland Field House.
