AMES, Iowa - Iowa State hits the road looking to post a 2-0 week when they take on West Virginia Saturday morning in Morgantown. First serve between the Cyclones and Mountaineers at the WVU Coliseum will be at 10 a.m. Central time.
With a win on Saturday, Iowa State head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch would reach 300 for her career.

Iowa State opened the week with a 3-0 win over Kansas on Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum. The ISU effort was led by a season-high 15 kills from Josie Herbst, the second-straight match she has notched 15 kills. Candelaria Herrera got eight kills at .467 hitting and six blocks (one solo, five assists). Herrera and Avery Rhodes (five block assists) led an Iowa State block which recorded 11.0 total blocks and held the Jayhawks to .126 hitting on the night.
West Virginia comes into Saturday's contest 8-6 overall on the season, 0-2 in Big 12 play. The Mountaineers were off on Wednesday, with their most recent match being a 3-1 loss to Oklahoma in Morgantown. Katelyn Evans led the WVU attack with 12 kills, while libero Alexa Hasting notched 24 digs.
The Mountaineer attack is led by Kristina Jordan, who is averaging 3.29 kills per set on the season. Hasting is a strong presence in the back-row for WVU, averaging 4.41 digs per set. Sophomore setter Lacey Zerwas averaged 10.02 assists per set and 2.41 digs per frame.
Iowa State has a 16-1 series lead over West Virginia, having not lost to the Mountaineers since WVU joined the Big 12 in 2012. West Virginia has pushed ISU at the WVU Coliseum, with last year's match being a 3-1 win for ISU. Josie Herbst led the Cyclones in that match with her career-best 19 kills at .545 hitting.
