





AMES, Iowa -The 22nd-ranked Iowa State women's basketball team (17-5, 7-3 Big 12) returns to Hilton Coliseum to face West Virginia (16-5, 7-3 Big 12) on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. The Cyclones are looking for their fourth-straight Big 12 win this season. Iowa State trails the all-time series 4-10 against the Mountaineers. Iowa State dropped its earlier meeting against WVU, 73-64, in Morgantown and have lost the last three meetings against WVU.
As a reminder, Hilton Coliseum has instituted a Clear Bag Policy for athletic events. The policy will enhance security while improving efficiency at the entry gates.

- Bridget Carleton (1,833) is currently in fourth in school history in scoring, she is 33 points behind Megan Taylor in third (1,866). She also passed all-time great Angie Welle (16.3) in career scoring average, averaging 16.5 points and counting in her career. The all-time leader is Stephannie Smith, averaging 16.7 points per game in two years with ISU.
- Carleton's 451 points on the season ranks seventh in the nation and her 20.5 points per game checks in at 17th. She also ranks 14th in free throws made, with 109 on the year. Her 20.5 points and 23.6 points per game in Big 12 action ranks first in the league.
- Ashley Joens captured Big 12 weekly honors for a third-straight week after netting 16 points on Saturday against Kansas State. She is second on the season among freshmen, with three weekly honors
- Iowa State is on pace to set a school record in points per game in a single season, averaging 82.0 PPG. The current record of 79.9 PPG was set in the 1999-00 season. Iowa State has already tied the 1999-00 team as the only two Big 12 teams to score 100 or more points on two conference opponents in a single season.
