Cyclones Face Road Tests At Baylor and Texas

AMES, Iowa - The 48th-ranked Cyclones (9-3) will be traveling to Texas this weekend to face two ranked Big 12 opponents. The first match is Friday at 5:00 p.m. in Waco against No. 27 Baylor (8-1) and the second match is Sunday at noon in Austin against No. 6 Texas (9-3).

LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State improved to 8-1 all-time against West Virginia on Sunday, winning 5-2. The Mountaineers came into the match undefeated but the talented Cyclones handed them their first loss of the season. Iowa State won by securing the doubles point and earning singles wins in the one, two, three, and five slots.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Freshman Chie Kezuka has been dominant in the No. 5 slot for Iowa State this spring. She's 9-2 on the season and has picked up some important wins for the Cyclones. Kezuka came up huge in the match against Iowa last Friday where she broke the 3-3 tie and gave Iowa State its first win against the Hawks since 1976 (39 matches).

CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HITS
Back to Back - Iowa State will be looking to beat Baylor for the second time in a row, a feat never accomplished by the Cyclones.

Dubs in Doubles - The Cyclones have won the doubles point in eight matches this year, they're 8-0 in those matches.

Poll Mainstays - The Thasaporn Naklo/Christin Hsieh pairing has been ranked in the last three Oracle/ITA rankings which are released biweekly.
