AMES, Iowa - After a week off, the Iowa State tennis team returns to action against Kansas in a non-conference showdown between the Big 12 foes.
THE SCHEDULE
Saturday, Feb. 27 - 12:00 PM
Iowa State (7-1) vs. Kansas (3-3)
Matches will be played at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence.
THE SERIES
This will be the 51st meeting between Iowa State and Kansas. The Jayhawks lead the series 46-4. Iowa State will be seeking its first-ever win in Lawrence as the Jayhawks are 22-0 at home against the Cyclones. Iowa State's last win over Kansas came in 2012, a 6-1 win in Ames for the Cyclones.
MUST-SEE MISKA
Freshman Miska Kadleckova has been nothing short of magnificent for the Cyclones this season. She holds an 8-0 singles record in dual matches, which is tied for best in the Big 12.
However, Kadleckova hasn't just been beating her opponents, she's been dominating them. Seven of her eight wins have come in straight sets. Most of her work is done at the No. 4 slot, but she's picked up two big wins at the No. 3 slot when the Cyclones were shorthanded.
