EUGENE, Oregon – Cailie Logue finished off her collegiate season on a high in the women's 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, taking 14th place in a season-best 33:07.63 to earn Second Team All-America honors. Logue is now a three-time All-American in her collegiate career, having been an All-American in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.
Logue was able to stay with the lead pack for the first 6,000 meters of the race, but found herself broken off from the leaders from there. However, Logue was able to hang tough and finish with her best mark against collegiate competition, with her previous best coming at the Hayward Premiere two months ago in Eugene in 33:09.99.
She will get another chance at the 10,000-meter run this season, as her 32:19.37 at The Track Meet in December against professional competition qualified her for the U.S. Olympic Trials on June 26 at Hayward Field.
