FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Two women brought home First Team All-America in the final day at 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships. The women end the championships in 15th with 14 points, both the highest finish and point total at indoor championships by the women since 2013.
Betty Kipkore, fresh off of DMR bronze, stormed to fourth in the 3,000m final clocking 8:44.28. The time is just off her school record of 8:44.09. Kipkore is the fourth Cyclone woman to pick up All-America honors in the indoor 3,000m and tallies the fifth total honor.
Rachel Joseph took sixth with a 400m of 51.20 in her third-straight NCAA final, becoming the first ISU woman on the track since 2014 to earn three first team honors and 13th total. Joseph matched her season best set yesterday in prelims with her time in the final.
Joseph now owns the top 25 400m times in Iowa State history.
It is the sixth total All-America honor of the star's career. Only three other Cyclone woman runners have earned as many, and Joseph is the first since Betsy Saina in 2013.
Joseph and Kipkore both totaled their second indoor first team honor this weekend, joining an elite group of four other ISU track woman to do so.
With the women and men scoring, Iowa State makes for the third year in a row for both to score at indoor nationals. The last time ISU did so was in 1989-92.
The men closed indoor season yesterday, with Rodgers Kiplimo scoring three points to finish 42nd in the team standings.
