AMES, Iowa – It was another outstanding year in the classroom for the Iowa State gymnastics team, as 13 Cyclones were named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-Americans. The 13 selections are the most in school history and the second-straight year with double-digit selections.
Ana Palacios and Annie Johnson earned the honor for the third time, as Johnson was named to the team in 2018 and 2019, while Palacios was honored each of the past two seasons. Laura Cooke, Maya Ford, Natalie Horowitz, Madelyn Langkamp, Andrea Maldonado, Ariana Orrego, Jade Vella-Wright and Loulou Vezina each were named to the team for the second time. Loganne Basuel, Kelsey Boychuk and Kaia Parker each picked up the honor for the first time.
To be eligible to be a Scholastic All-American, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 or higher grade point average either cumulatively or across the academic year.
