AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (12-7, 4-2 Big 12) hosts No. 1 Texas (14-0, 6-0 Big 12) tomorrow, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The Longhorns are the only remaining undefeated team in the nation.
Promotions include $3 tickets. Students will be given free pizza and the first 300 will receive Iowa State fanny packs. Tomorrow night is the Cyclone Spirit match, fans are invited to wear their best cardinal and gold.
LAST TIME OUT
Three went out to total 10 or more kills against Oklahoma. Solei Thomas posted a match-leading 16 kills for her third-straight 10-plus dig match. Eleanor Holthaus followed with 12 for her sixth-straight while also moving to fifth all time in ISU history in attack attempts (3,504). Maya Duckworth had her second-consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs on her way to earning Big 12 Rookie of the Week.
Alexis Engelbrecht totaled seven blocks, with six coming from the second set (two solo and four assists). The junior is now the second-ranked Big 12 player in conference action with 1.46 blocks per set.
Brooke Stonestreet averaged 5.56 digs per set last week as the sophomore totaled 50. Stonestreet is ranked No. 2 in conference action with 5.04 digs per set.
Following the Oklahoma matchup, Iowa State ranks first in blocks (2.71 per set), digs (15.67 per set) and opponent hitting percentage (.183) in conference matches.
TEXAS
Texas leads the nation with a hitting percentage of .324 and 13.62 assists per set this season. Individually, Asija O'Neal ranks second nationally in hitting percentage (.462), Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres ranks at No. 6 in assists per set (11.42) and Logan Eggleston ranks at No. 9 in points per set (5.38).
Texas leads the all-time series 49-5. All of ISU's wins against Texas have happened at Hilton while the last victory took place Nov. 12, 2016 in five sets.

Iowa State returns to action Friday, Oct. 21 meeting Texas Tech. The match begins at 6 p.m. at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
