Iowa State's 104-47 exhibition victory over Winona State on Wednesday was the first chance for the Hilton Coliseum faithful to see two-time NAIA Division I Player of the Year Stephanie Soares in action, and the senior did not disappoint, finishing with 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting, including four 3-pointers in just 18 minutes of action.

The commander of the Iowa State offense, Emily Ryan, showed what she was about in ISU's exhibition win on Wednesday, finishing with nine points, seven assists and three steals with a team-best +/- of +43 in 22 minutes of action. Ryan got some much-deserved national recognition on Friday as, along with teammate Ashley Joens, she was named to the Watch List for the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy, given to the nation's top player.
