AMES, Iowa - No. 6 Iowa State's historic season reaches one of its biggest weeks, starting with the Cyclones taking on No. 14 Texas at the Erwin Center in Austin Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Cyclones, currently on their best overall record thru 24 games in program history, will be looking to add some conference history and reverse one of its two league losses this year.

KEY STORYLINES
-The Cyclones, leading the Big 12 with a 10-2 conference record, can move to 11-2 in Big 12 play for the first time in program history on Wednesday night.
-ISU are 21-3 overall for the first time in program history, surpassing the previous best of 20-4 in 1997-98 and 2000-01.
-This season marks the 12th time Iowa State has won at least 21 games in the regular season (prior to conference tournament). All 12 have come under the guidance of head coach Bill Fennelly.
-Iowa State got that 21st victory via a 93-70 win over TCU Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth. The Cyclones shot a season-best 56.5 percent from the field.
-For the second time this season, Iowa State hit a school-record 19 3-pointers in a game. The Cyclones also did it on Dec. 19, 2021 against Prairie View A&M.
-Emily Ryan set a new school record for assists in a game with 17 against TCU.
-Ryan broke the record of 16 that she recorded vs. West Virginia on Jan. 2 and of Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly from 2004-05.
-Ryan leads the Big 12 and ranks second nationally with 7.2 assists per game. She is also among the nation's leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking 14th at 2.46 a/t.
-Ashley Joens posted a season-high 32 points, which included six 3-pointers, in the win.Â
-Joens, the 2021 Cheryl Miller Award Winner, is only 12 points away from breaking ISU's school record for career points (2,149, Angie Welle), entering Wednesday's game with 2,138 career points.
-ISU was at No. 7 on the NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Committee's Top 16, announced last Thursday.
LAST TIME OUT
-No. 9 Iowa State went off from the field to post a 93-70 victory over TCU Saturday at Schollmaier Arena. The Cyclones shot a season-best 56.5 percent from the field while matching a school record with 19 3-pointers as a team.
-The Cyclones have now shot at least 49 percent from the field for a fourth-straight game, the third time in the Fennelly Era ISU has done so.
-Iowa State shot at least 50 percent from the field in all four quarters, the third time in the quarters era (2015-16-Present) ISU has done that in a game (Feb. 4, 2017 at West Virginia; Dec. 10, 2018 vs. N.C. Central).
-Emily Ryan broke ISU's single-game assist record with 17 dimes against the Horned Frogs. She also got her fifth career double-double with 14 points.
-Ashley Joens got career double-double No. 43 with a season-high 32 points and 14 rebounds. Her scoring out-burst included a 13-point third quarter.
-Lexi Donarski racked up 16 points, including four 3-pointers.
-Morgan Kane was in double figures for a second-straight game and the 10th time this season with 13 points.
