Iowa State Kicks Off Weekend of Back-to-Back Quad Meets

The Cyclones have a weekend of back-to-back quad meets as they first take on Illinois State, Lindenwood, and Southeast Missouri State in the GymQuarters Invitational. They then head to Northern Illinois where they will also face both Central and Western Michigan before beginning a two-week home stand.
The Matchup: Iowa State (1-4, 1-1 Big 12) vs. Illinois State (2-2, 0-0 MIC), Lindenwood (1-0, 0-0 MIC), Southeast Missouri State (0-7, 0-1 MIC)

Key Storylines:
- Iowa State has posted scores of 195.575 or higher in its last three meets. The Cyclone's score of 196.225 against Auburn was its highest of the season.
- Makayla Maxwell hit her second 9.900 of the season on vault while at Denver. She has earned a score of 9.800 or higher with her past four vaults.
- Iowa State scored a season-best 49.225 on vault against Denver. ISU has steadily improved its score on the event by .650 since the season-opener against Nebraska.
- Loganne Basuel had a career high against Denver, earning a 9.850 to lead the team on beam. She also led on bars with a score of 9.875, the highest of any Cyclone so far this season.
- Meixi Semple scored a 9.800 on beam after earning her second 9.850 last week. She has not scored below a 9.800 this season.
- Iowa State earned a 48.925 on beam against Denver, tying their season best.
- Two Cyclones tied their career marks on bars against Denver. Laura Cooke and Ariana Orrego both earned scored of 9.825 to tie for the second-best score for the Cyclones.
