Iowa State Ties For Sixth At The Hawkeye Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa State men's golf team finished in a tie for sixth at Finkbine Golf Course for the Hawkeye Invitational. The Cyclones compiled an 883 (288-297-298) team score for the week.

Lachlan Barker carded an even 72 in the final round to finish fourth in the medalist race. Barker totaled a 212 (70-70-72) and recorded his second consecutive Top 5 finish of the season.

Nate Vance tied Barker's final round score of 72 and placed in a tie for 22nd. Vance recorded four birdies this afternoon and 10 total birdies this week.

Senior Ricky Costello wrapped up his weekend in a tie for 39th place. Costello posted a 225 total (71-76-78) and added another under-par round to his total with his 71 in the first round.

Up next on the Cyclones schedule is the Big 12 Championship, starting Monday, April 25 in Trinity, Texas.
