WACO, Texas – Anna Supapitch Kuearum and Isabella Dunlap advanced into the Big 12 Fall Invite doubles quarterfinals on Friday.
Kuearum and Dunlap started the day against BYU's Jacque Dunyon and Kendall Kovick. They rolled to a 6-2 win and moved into the quarterfinals of Flight One where they will face Cincinnati's Morgan Pyrz and Elizabeth Pendergast.
In other doubles action, Juliette Nask paired up with UCF's Jaleesa Leslie for the tournament. They faced BYU's Tina Li and Kara Wheatley and played a hard-fought match, falling 6-4.
In singles action, Nask and Dunlap picked up wins in their matches. Nask faced Kansas State's Mananmi Ukita, dropping the first set, 6-7, before winning the next two sets, 6-3, 1-0 (2). Dunlap went against BYU's Dunyon, beating her in consecutive sets, 6-4, 7-6.
Kuearum faced off against Yujia Huang from BYU. She would win the first set 6-3, before dropping the next two 6-7 (4), 0-1 (7).
The Cyclones return to action tomorrow, starting with doubles action at 10 a.m.
