AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (19-9, 10-7 Big 12) topped UCF (17-11, 8-9 Big 12) in straight sets (25-14, 25-22, 25-23). It was Iowa State's 11th sweep on the season while Christy Johnson-Lynch sealed the fourth-most Big 12 wins in conference history by a volleyball head coach.
Iowa State also totaled 10 Big 12 wins on the season, making for the 14th under Johnson-Lynch to bring in at least 10.
Maya Duckworth was dominant through the night, totaling 14 kills at .268, along with nine digs and two blocks. Duckworth totaled an errorless nine at .375 hitting after the first two sets alone. Paula Krzeslak subbed in at libero in the first set and totaled a career-high 15 digs through the sweep. Nayeli Gonzalez also had double digit digs with 13.
SET ONE
Five Cyclones recorded kills, including two on three swings by Duckworth, as ISU led 9-4 causing UCF to call the early timeout. UCF would come within one at 5-4, but ISU would answer to stretch a lead. Iowa State took seven straight, as Lilly Wachholz hit four straight kills in the run, to go up 20-12. Iowa State continued to roll, taking the set 25-14 hitting at .289.
SET TWO
The two sides kept it within two up to the midway point of the set. At a tie of 12-12, UCF went on their own run to go up by four at 16-12. Iowa State continued to battle, bringing it back within two (19-17) after a kill by Pam McCune. The match then saw ties at 20s and 21s following an ace by Morgan Brandt and Annie Hatch kill. ISU then took a lead on a Duckworth kill and UCF tied it once more, but ISU overcame the once four-point deficit ending the set on a run of three at 25-22.
SET THREE
The set again remained close, while Duckworth entered double figures. Neither team was able to break away deep into the set, while McCune hit her fifth kill errorless to make it 9-9. ISU and UCF remained within one up until a tie at 22-22, where ISU then took the next three to seal the sweep on a Wachholz ace 25-23.

Iowa State will honor its three seniors at the final home match of the season Saturday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. to wrap up regular season vs Cincinnati.
