The Lead:
The Cyclones are back in Hilton for the last time this season, facing off against Big 12 rival Denver on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Iowa State is looking for continued success after sweeping both Lindenwood and Alaska-Anchorage last weekend.
Storylines
- Denver leads the series all-time 28-10. The last time the Cyclones won in a matchup against the Pioneers was 2021.
- The Cyclones are 0-2 against Big 12 Conference opponents this season, falling to West Virginia and Oklahoma earlier this season. However, in both of those meets Iowa State put up its highest scores of the season.
- Iowa State has won three of its last four meets, beating Texas Woman's University, Lindenwood and Alaska-Anchorage.

- Maddie Diab continues her streak of dominance on floor; the senior has posted scores of 9.900 or higher in four straight meets. Diab won the Mari-Rae Sopper Award for her performance on floor against Alaska-Anchorage, the second time she has won said award.
- Kaia Parker has been excellent on vault this season. The junior has not scored lower than a 9.800 on vault all season and has scored 9.850 or higher five times.
Switching Sides
- According to Road to Nationals, the Denver Pioneers are the number 10 ranked team in the country.
- The Pioneers rank sixth nationally on beam, seventh on both vault and bars, and 20th on floor.
- Denver put up its highest score of the season against Air Force and UC Davis, scoring a 197.650. The Pioneers were led by Big 12 Gymnast of the Week winner, Rylie Mundell, who recorded an all-around score of 39.600.
