INSIDE THE SERIES
Overall:Â BU Leads 33-9
In Ames:Â BU Leads 12-6
Fennelly vs. BU:Â 9-33
FOUR THINGS
1 – Win needed by head coach Bill Fennelly to reach 750 for his career. Of those 749, 583 have come during his tenure at Iowa State (the other 166 at Toledo).
8 – Ashley Joens is eight points away from entering NCAA Division I's all-time top-30 for career points. She is at 2,769 career points, which is also good for third in Big 12 history.
19 – 3-pointers needed by Iowa State to reach 200 made 3-pointers for a 21st-straight season.
882 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA-record 882 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.
DIEW IT ALL
Nyamer Diew had a career-best day at Kansas State on Wednesday, with the ISU junior matching her season high with 14 points and grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds (which included six on the offensive glass) for her first career double-double. In the eight games Iowa State has not had Stephanie Soares, Diew is averaging 7.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest.
LIS(Z)T-O-MANIA
Ashley Joens had another busy week on the awards list front. After picking up Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday, she followed that up by being named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20, the third-straight season she has been on the ballot at this stage of the process. In the three-peat department, Joens is also looking for her third-straight Cheryl Miller Award, given to the nation's top small forward, and she was named to the Mid Season Top-10 list for that on Wednesday.
