Maddie Diab Qualifies for NCAA Regional

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Gymnast Maddie Diab qualified for a NCAA Regional. The senior will be competing on floor at the Denver Regional meet on Friday, March 31. Diab will be competing in the evening session at 8 p.m. Central and will compete on floor following Minnesota's turn on the event.
The floor specialist had three scores of 9.950 this season, the most recent one allowing her to claim a share of the Big 12 title in the event for a second-straight season and logged a team-high nine scores of 9.900 or higher, at one point posting six of such scores in consecutive meets. Diab earned an individual NQS of 9.935, which ranks 18th in the country and third in the Big 12 Conference.
For her excellence on floor this season, the gymnast also earned a spot on the 2023 Big 12 Gymnastics All-Conference Floor Team for the second time in her Cyclone career.
