ISU Opens Ashley Miles Greig Era with Nebraska

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (0-1, 0-0 Big 12) fell to Nebraska (1-0, 0-0 Big Ten) by a score of 195.825-196.125 on Friday evening.

"Overall, this was so much fun. Just to see Cyclone nation show up for us. We had a great crowd, and the team came out focused and trusted their training" Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig said.

Iowa State opened the 2024 campaign against Nebraska on Friday night. It marked the first time that new Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig was able to see her team compete under the lights of Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones got a big-time debut from freshman Noelle Adams as she was able to score multiple times over 9.850 including a 9.900 on the floor. Today marked Iowa State's highest season-opening score since 2004.

Josie Bergstrom started her season off strong with a 9.900 to lead the way on vault for the Cyclones. Both freshmen competed very well today with Paige Wills scoring a 9.800 and Adams a 9.850.
