IOWA STATE GAME NOTES
MEDIA CENTER
Iowa State welcomes Indiana State to Hilton Coliseum on Thursday night following its 30th straight season-opening win. The midweek matchup marks the first meeting between the Cyclones and Sycamores.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Cyclones and Sycamores meet for the first time in series history. It is the first of two new opponents Iowa State will face this season. ISU will also play Middle Tennessee for the first time at the Fort Myers Tip-Off over Thanksgiving weekend.
FOUR THINGS
2 – Iowa State had two players named to the Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Watchlist earlier this week. Audi Crooks and Emily Ryan were two of 50 women's collegiate basketball players selected to the watchlist. It is the second time Ryan has been featured on the top 50 list and the first time Crooks has been added.
10 – ISU knocked down 10 3-pointers against Chicago State on Monday. It marks the 285th time since the nation's longest 3-point streak began in 1995 that Iowa State has made 10 or more triples.
25 – Iowa State passed out 25 assists in its season opener against Chicago State, the first time since the 2012-13 season opener that the Cyclones have tallied at least 25 dimes on opening day.
928 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA women's record 928 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State won its 30th consecutive season opener on Monday, defeating Chicago State, 96-56. The Cyclones jumped out to a 29-3 lead after the first quarter, shooting nearly 59 percent from the floor and over 62 percent from 3-point range. Addy Brown posted a dominant opening day performance, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Aili Tanke earned the start for her Iowa State debut, finishing with 12 points and three 3-pointers. Audi Crooks was solid on the low block with 16 points, connecting on 50 percent of her tries from the floor.

LOADING THE PERIMETER
Head coach Bill Fennelly and staff added some of the nation's most talented 3-point shooters to the 2024-25 roster. The long-range talent showed on Monday afternoon as Iowa State knocked down 10 triples in the home opener while connecting at a .435 clip from beyond the arc.

In November 2023, Iowa State signed Aili Tanke and Reagan Wilson as part of the 2024 recruiting class. Tanke won the State Farm National Girl's Shootout, making 25 3-pointers in the final round of competition in Phoenix to take home the trophy. In her collegiate debut, Tanke finished 3-of-4 from beyond the arc with 12 points.
Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Fennelly and staff signed four transfers, three of which add to the perimeter threat. Kenzie Hare comes to Iowa State ranking 13th nationally for both made 3-pointers and 3-point percentage last season. Lily Hansford shot over 45 percent from beyond the arc last season at Oregon State. She helped the Beavers to an Elite Eight appearance.
ISU also returns a quartet of deadly 3-point snipers in Addy Brown, Arianna Jackson, Kelsey Joens and Emily Ryan ... the foursome combined for 157 made treys while shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc.
