RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 32 Iowa State (7-9, 2-2 Big 12) placed second in today's quad-meet against No. 21 North Carolina State (9-4, 3-0 MWC), Northern Illinois (8-10-1, 1-4 MAC), and Temple (9-12, 1-2 EAGL).
"I am so happy with what I saw today. This is the team that we have known is in there this entire season. I am so proud of the way we came into this environment and really executed. However, we know there is still even more out there for us to achieve. We are on a great pathway, and I could not be prouder of this team." Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig said.
After a strong showing this evening, the Cyclones saw a team score of 196.700. This saw them take home 2nd out of the four teams competing. ISU's top event of the night came on the floor. They saw a new season high of 49.350. Kaia Parker led the way in this event with her second 9.925 of the year. Behind her was Madelyn Manternach who marked a new career high of 9.900.
The Cyclones also had an amazing beam performance. They had a new season high of 49.325 which is the highest score on this event since 2017. ISU was led by three 9.875's. These came from Lauren O'Brochta, Noelle Adams, and Josie Bergstrom. This was a new career for O'Brochta. It was a total team effort for ISU today to get their score as they saw eleven 9.85's and higher.
Vault (48.950)
Iowa State wrapped up their evening on vault. The Cyclones finished out a very strong meet with a team total of 48.950. Emilie Hong ended the meet by scoring ISU's top score of the event of 9.875 tying her career high.

ISU opened this quad-meet on bars. They started the meet strong with a team score of 49.075. This was led by Laura Cooke with a 9.875. She was followed up by a pair of 9.825's. First by Lauren Thomas and then to round out the event Paige Wills. This tied Paige's career high on bars.

The Cyclones second rotation of the evening came on beam. The Cyclones followed up their strong showing on bars with an even stronger performance on this event. The Cyclones saw a new season high score of 49.325. This was the highest score on beam since 2017. The Cyclones were led by three 9.875's. First from Lauren O'Brochta which marked a new career high, then Noelle Adams, and lastly Josie Bergstrom. Hannah Loyim and Lauren Thomas were both just behind them with 9.85's.

First from Emilie Hong with her routine garnering a 9.85 and then Madelyn Manternach scoring a 9.9 to help lead the Cyclones to their top score of the night.
