AMES, Iowa – No. 34 Iowa State (7-10, 2-2 Big 12) fell to No. 35 Iowa (6-7, 2-7 Big Ten) by a score of 196.175-196.450.
"Tonight belongs to Cyclone Nation. With it being the highest non beauty and the beast attendance in program history is just a special way to send our seniors out in their last meet at Hilton. Obviously, it was not the result we wanted, and we just need to continue to hone into the details. We still have a great opportunity to make this a season to remember." Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig said.
Iowa State honored their senior's tonight in front of the highest non beauty and the beast attendance in program history. They saw many high scores from their veterans this evening. This was topped by Loganne Basuel with her setting a new career high of 9.925 on bars. Another senior Kaia Parker continues to show what she can do on the floor for ISU where she had yet another great score of 9.875. She has been a key part to the recent success on that event.
Iowa State scored their second straight 196 in the month of March. This was led by their floor lineup who saw a score of 49.175. Noelle Adams was the leader on this event yet again as she has been all season long. The freshman scored her second 9.925 of the year. Vault was just behind with a 49.100. The Cyclones got two 9.85's out of that lineup. First from Josie Bergstrom who has been consistent all year long and continues to be on this pivotal stretch for ISU. Emilie Hong was the second 9.85 of this event in her final time competing at Hilton Coliseum.

Iowa State started their night out strong on vault. They were led by a pair of 9.85's first from Josie Bergstrom and then Emilie Hong in her final time competing at home. Just behind those two was Noelle Adams with a 9.825.

ISU's second rotation was on bars. Fifth year senior Loganne Basuel led the way with a new career high of 9.925. She broke her previous career high of 9.9 that she set earlier in her career back in 2021. Then senior Laura Cooke followed Basuel up with a 9.8 to come in second on this event.

The Cyclones had a solid showing on beam this evening. Josie Bergstrom and Rachel Wilke stepped up big for ISU. Bergstrom saw her routine score a team high of 9.875. Wilke followed her up with a 9.85 which marked a new career high. In Lauren Thomas's final beam routine at Hilton, she was able to score a 9.825.

Iowa State finished the night on the floor. This was the Cyclones strongest event, and it was led by Noelle Adams yet again. She scored her second 9.925 of the year. She has been the leader all year long and she stepped up big tonight to anchor this rotation. In Kaia Parker's final home floor routine, she scored a 9.875 to help ISU achieve their highest team score of the meet.
