Cyclones End Day Two of Big 12 Championship

TRINITY, Texas - The Cyclones conclude day two and round three of the Big 12 Championship sitting in 12th place. The Cyclones have improved their first round score in both the second in third round carding a three-round score of 885.
No. 17 Texas remains in first place with No. 14 Oklahoma trailing by 11 strokes. After ending day one tied for first, Ty Gingerich from Cincinnati takes first place with a score of 208. Preston Stout from No. 27 Oklahoma State trails the lead by two strokes.Â
Senior Lukas Pany continues leading the Cyclones ending the first three rounds in a tie for 19th. Pany had a pair of birdies in the third round carding a 74. Paul Beauvy matched Pany's 74 also with two birdies in the third. Beauvy has carded a 220 through three rounds and is tied for 30th. Luke Gutschewski was able to improve his second round score by four strokes in order to mirror his first round score of 73. Gutschewski had three birdies in the third round and trails Beauvy by three strokes.Â
Zach May had his best round of the tournament in the third round, improving from his first round score by four strokes. May has had eight birdies through the tournament placing him in a tie for 55th with a score of 228. Owen Sawyer trails May by one stroke with a 229. Sawyer had his best round so far in the second round played in the evening of Monday, April 22.Â
The Cyclones will tee off for the fourth and final round of the Big 12 Championship on Wednesday, April 24 at 9:10am (CST).Â
