TRINITY, Texas - The Cyclones completed the Big 12 Championship following round four. The Cyclones carded a four-round score of 1191 to end the tournament in 12th place.Â
No. 17 Texas held the lead through all four rounds and completed the tournament in first place with a score of 25-under-par. No 14. Oklahoma came in second place with a score of seven-under-par. There was a three-way tie for first place individually between Gustav Frimodt from TCU, Preston Stout from No. 27 Oklahoma State and Ty Gingerich from Cincinnati.Â
Lukas Pany led the Cyclones through all rounds of the tournament ending in a tie for 31st. Pany had three birdies in the fourth round. After teeing off on hole ten, Pany had two birdies on holes 12 and 14. Paul Beauvy had four birdies in the fourth round completing with a four round score of 298.
Luke Gutschewski tied for 50th with a score of 13-over-par with his best rounds in the first and third round carding a 73. Freshman Owen Sawyer trailed Gutschewski by three strokes matching Pany's three birdies. Sawyer had two birdies in the span of holes 14-16. Zach May trailed Sawyer by two strokes to tie for 58th. May had 11 birdies through the four rounds of the tournament.Â
The Cyclones had their best round of the tournament in the second round carding a 291 on Monday, April 22.Â
