COLUMBIA, Mo. - Carding a three round score of 841 (-11) the Cyclones will take home first place at the Tiger Collegiate, beating No. 37 Missouri by just two strokes (843).
Jack Lundin from No. 37 Missouri won individually with a score of 200 with Dominic Clemons from Stetson coming in second with a score of 202.Â
Luke Gutschewski carded a 204 to place in third with all rounds in the 60s. Gutschewski's third round was his best carding a 67 with five birdies. Paul Beauvy tied for 16th with a first round 68 to tie his season low round. Beauvy carded a three-round 212, just one stroke behind his season low. Owen Sawyer tied for 27th after carding a 214. Sawyer improved his score from the second round by seven strokes with six birdies in the third round and 12 birdies throughout the three rounds.Â
Lukas Pany carded a three-round 217, his first round being the best with a 68. Pany ended with a score of four-over-par placing him in a tie for 42nd. Zach May shot his best round of the tournament in the final round. May improved his score from the second round by seven strokes for a three-round score of 222. May had five birdies in the final round with three of them happening within six holes.Â
Dianchao Wu competed as an individual and tied for 55th with a score of 219 after carding ten birdies through the three rounds.Â
The win of the Tiger Collegiate will be the third win for the Cyclones this season following their two wins in the fall at the Iowa Fall Classic and the Zach Johnson Invitational. This is the first time the Cyclones have won three tournaments in one season since 2016-17. The Iowa State men's golf team carded a three-round score of 841, their lowest tournament score this season which will also enter the 2023-24 team into the record book for Low 54-Hole Tournament.Â
The Iowa State men's golf team has one more tournament in the month of April. The Cyclones will travel to Trinity, Texas for the Big 12 Championship that begins on Monday, April 22 and concludes on Wednesday, April 24.Â
